We showed up at the Kensington, checked in, got into the elevator....and it broke. We were stuck. Moving heavy bags up and down the stairs for 4 days was a real drag. The hotel is clean enough, the front desk staff nice enough, but for 3 stars....its a bit of a strech. It was fashion week, so the hotels were jammed, and we were forced into something like this.
Notable is the neighborhood, which my girlfriend and I liked a lot. The hotel is 200 meters form the Earl's Court Tube, and the neighborhood aeound the tube station has a bunch of great casual restaurants, and all the practical stores one needs.
The cleaning staff are all from Eastern Europe, don't speak great/any english, and weren't thrilled with us because we broke the elevator. For $150 US a night, its a bit of a stretch. Wireless internet in the lobby (very small lobby) was a +
