11.05.2012 Sue and Pietro have done a fantastic job with renovating the guest house.If you want a very well appointed guest house in a small village in the Italian mountains then this is the place to go.All the locals we met were very friendly and the food in the local restaurants was excellent.The views from the house are stunning and the little village of Masanti di Sopra has a church with a bell tower and a gorgeous little dog called Mutley!

03.07.2011 A quirky place in fabulous unspoiled mountainous area. Great base for exploring. Excellent value, very friendly locals. Good for a retreat. Makes you want to buy a place of your own. Suzanne and Pete helpful and with lots of suggestions about the region - we went to Pisa by train, drove to the coast, explored all around. We had 2 very nice holidays there.

01.08.2011 We had a wonderful week staying at Casa Terracotta, Suzanne, (English speaking owner) could not have been more helpful. The accommodation is very well equipped & of an excellent standard.
The mountain scenery is breath taking, driving was a pleasure as there were few vehicles. We had arrived with little idea of where to visit, Suzanne has a comprehensive collection of tourist information files, we even drove to Pisa for the day!
To be warned, if you are in the need to stroll to a bar or restaurant in the evening then this isn't the place for you, there are no shops or restaurants in the village, but Suzanne will point you to the nearest restaurant & shops.
We flew into Genoa, taking well under 2 hours to arrive in Masanti di Sopra, Parma airport would be closer at just over an hour away.
For a "do it yourself" break off the beaten track in a beautiful & tranquil part of Italy I recommend you try Casa Terractta.
Downside, stair case is on the steep side, but we had no problems.

15.07.2011 Great place to get away from it all. Lots of good walking and plenty of good eating! Hosts Suzanne and Pietro are wonderful and very helpful (and live next door). The scenery is out of this world. We had two wonderful holidays here and plan to return.

15.06.2011 We re-visited Casa Terracotta in the Spring and it is equally as wonderful - if not better - in the Spring as in the Autumn. Such wonderful flowers and an abundance of natural life, not to mention the charms of visits to the many cultural hotspots in the area. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday with easy access to everything you could want - from walking a mountain to enjoying the cultural heritage of Parma - this is the place for you.

13.09.2010 Casa Terracotta is een fijn vakantiehuis in Masanti di Sopra. Zowel in de winter als in de zomer kun je er een heerlijk vakantie hebben. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en ligt op een prachtige plek in Italie. Masanti ligt vlak bij Bedonia, een leuk, pitoresk, niet touristisch Italiaans dorp. Echt een aanrader!

03.07.2011 Up in the hills, away from it all but within reasonable access of Bedonia and Parma and coastal resort Sestri Levante. 2 storey accommodation for 2 but not for infirm, elderly or children. Well equipped and modern self catering accommodation. Charming and so helpful hosts Suzanne (English) and Pietro (Italian/English speaking) in neighbouring house.
Beautiful scenery, ideal for walking holiday.

03.07.2011 Such a lovely house in a stunning location - the house is quirky and beautifully renovated and comfortable, fitted out with everything (plus more) you could need for a great stay, the price was fantastic and lots of local information provided by the helpful owners. I would highly recommend a stay here and hope to return.
