05.11.2012 Hotel Oceana ligt tegenover het strand en op loopafstand van het centrum met winkels en de haven en pier. De kamer en badkamer is oke, het bestaat uit diverse gebouwen en doet een beetje motelachtig aan. Als je de deur uitgaat van je slaapkamer sta je meteen buiten. Er zijn voldoende parkeerplaatsen bij het hotel. Er zijn diverse zwembaden, fietsen en je kunt er ontbijt halen van een (redelijk) buffet.

05.05.2009 Een heel leuk hotel dmv. drukke weg gescheiden van het strand, het ontbijt was niet zo divers maar wel bij de prijs inbegrepen.

25.06.2009 The Oceana is just across from the water in a great location. The two pools are very clean and nice - although there was always a lack of towels.
Our room did not have air conditioning but the ceiling fans provided some comfort at night.
The staff were very junior and inexperienced - so checkin/checkout took quite a bit of time. Also the concierge was of limited knowledge.

Overall, a good hotel in a great location but could use some improvement.

25.06.2009 Hotel Oceana was a nice hotel, a little pricey, but comparable to other hotels in the area. The room was a little small and the bathroom was small, but both were clean. We were in one of the newly renovated rooms, so there was new hardwood floors with a new rug. In general, the hotel was nice and quiant. We would definately consider staying there again.

25.06.2009 I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We arrived to the Hotel Oceana early and went to check in at the front desk. The front desk staff stated that check-in was not available till 3pm. I asked her politely if there were any rooms that were ready for an early check-in. She insisted that all the rooms were to be ready at 3pm and to come back then. After not receiving a phone call as she suggested they would call us once our room was ready, we walked back to the front desk at 3:30pm. We were told that our room still wasn't ready and that we would have to wait another 30 minutes. They only thing they would do to accomodate us was comp our $10 parking fee at their hotel. And that was after me asking for something for the inconvenience.

25.06.2009 We were first taken back by the size of the very small room, but looking out at the ocean made us forget about that. Other things we liked were the lovely bed and bedding, flat screen TV, internet connection, breakfast bar in the "Bistro" and the minibar in the room. Negatives were no coffee maker, no chair other than a wooden desk chair, and the size of the small room. The hotel is being renovated, but we couldn't tell if our room had been done or not. We would probably check out another hotel next time, but it would have to match up with Oceana in the view department:>)

25.06.2009 The hotel has a beautiful location, right across the street from the beach. However, you will end up spending more than you thought you would. The "free" breakfast is extra if you want eggs, and they won't tell you that until after you order it. And the parking is extra, but they don't tell you that either until check out.
But the beds were very comfortable, and you can tell that the rooms have recently been remodeled. Overall, the hotel is very nice, but not worth the price.

It is a cute hotel in front of the beach. It is not so expensive. The service is good and they treat you well. They charge you for parking $10 for a day. Don't expect too much from the breakfast, it is simple but included in the price. No complains.

25.06.2009 First of all, great location. Just a few minutes walk from downtown SB and across the street from the beach. The room was really good, the customer service great, the "continental" breakfast the best I've had (now with an omelet bar!), and it wasn't expensive. Unfortunately, the rooms have no A/C in them, but the heat is easily minimized by opening the front and bathroom windows and letting the cool beach breeze blow through (and we were there on "record breaking" hot days - according to the media). I would stay here again.
