Although centrally located in New Orleans (on the corner of Conti and Bourbon streets) this hotel leaves much to be desired. The hotel was rather dirty, especially the lobby and the elevator, and room house-keeping was minimal (basically fixing the bed and emptying the trash-cans). The rooms were in marginal condition (cigarette burned bed-covers and worn out towels and blankets), although apparently I had lucked out and got a working shower and no cockroaches (speaking to other guests, I shouldn't have taken this for granted). Every morning there were several people checking out early to change to another hotel; something that I would have done myself, had I not prepaid my whole stay in advance. In summary, it's an OK hotel for undergrads on spring break to crush after a long night in the next-door bars, but I would not recommend it for all other travelers.
